Los Angeles based painter, Follow The Seeker is a multi-medium artist exploring many subjects through a surreal, urban contemporary style. His unusually proportioned subjects search for truth through landscapes of repeating patterns and vivid colors. Mark's goal is to have us take a second look at our reality, our beliefs, our ideologies, and the interconnectedness of our nature to see the fact that "normal" is a myth.
A self-taught oil painter, Mark begins with constructing wood panels to be layered with house paint and acrylic to create textured landscapes before developing an oil painting on top, giving his pieces the look of many lives lived. Inspired by the skateboard art of his youth, contemporary concepts of the universe, and psychedelic assisted healing, Mark draws us into vibrant worlds of self-reflection.
